Hypertension is
provoked with high blood pressure. Here are some organs which are damaged by
uncontrolled hypertension.
There can be loss of
calcium with high blood pressure which can lead to osteoporosis. Bones become
weak in this condition. There can be greater risks of bone fractures in women
with hypertension especially with menopause.
There can be kindly
failure because of hypertension which shows that how harmful it can be.
There can be damage of
hypertension to the blood vessels which can cause retina related diseases.
There can be sexual
dysfunction in men and women with hypertension. The women can have virginal
dryness with hypertension.
There can be peripheral
vascular disease with hypertension which can cause leg pain and numbness.
There can be loss of mental
function with hypertension and it can contribute to short term memory loss.
Complications
Caused by High Blood Pressure
Force due to heart
muscles, amount of excretory products and internal cross section area of blood
vessels are three major factors for blood pressure determining in human body. There
is decline in the anabolic process either because of age or some disease like
diabetes or obesity. It can be the result of genetic predisposition as well. There
can be high blood pressure because of combination of three major factors and it
can result decrease in arteries and veins as well with resilience of heart
muscles. There is decline in kidney function after certain age which can put
extra load on the heart. There is increased load on the heart muscles with high
blood pressure due to which blood vessels are stretched causing load on the
kidney.
High blood pressure can
cause complications in all three types. There are chances of heart attack or
heart failure. There can be inflammation in the arteries due to coronary heart
disease. There can be weakened kidneys with hypertension. The patient can have
stroke due to clogging and consequent artery rupture to the brain. Hypertension
can make blood clots which can lead to the disease arterial fibrillation. The
arteries can become weak with the hypertension. There can be complications in
pregnant women due to hypertension. There can be kidney and brain related disease
with hypertension.
Uncontrolled
High Blood Pressure Can Lead to Coronary Heart Disease
There can be increased
risks of stroke if blood pressure is higher than 160 mm Hg. Arteries become
hard with high blood pressure and cholesterol builds up on arteries wall. The
arteries are clogged because of fatty substances. The heart will need extra
force for maintaining smooth blood flow due to which greater work will be
performed by the heart. The heart can develop coronary heart disease in this
condition. Tightness, discomfort in chest and angina pressure are coronary
heart disease symptoms. You can prevent this disease by decreasing cholesterol
level, losing weight, avoiding sedentary lifestyle, stop smoking, and taking
alcohol in moderation. |
